raymond gibbons, ba bsc ma
A graduate of the US Military Academy (West Point) and a dual US/British national, Ray has had a highly varied professional career, including: service as an officer in the US Army, banking, IT, publishing and consulting. He has been the head of global ship lending for a leading US bank, a main board director for a leading cruise operator and has operated a day ship between San Diego, CA and Ensenada, Mexico. Ray has lived and worked in the US and Caribbean, Germany, France, Switzerland, Greece and the UK (where he currently resides). He holds a Masters degree in French and German and has a working knowledge of several other European languages. He has published articles in leading trade publications and has spoken at major conferences in Europe and the Middle East.
 
steven jones BSc. (Hons)
A navigation officer in the UK Merchant Navy, Steve served on a number of vessel types, predominantly cable vessels and is a survivor of a piracy attack. Focusing on maritime security, anti-piracy and ISPS compliance, he has worked for a major P&I association, commercial organisations and global professional bodies. Steve is an industry commentator, publishing numerous books as well as reports and articles in both the maritime and mainstream press. He has been a speaker on numerous occasions to the members of leading P&I Clubs, shipowner associations, maritime institutions and a guest lecturer on maritime security at Liverpool John Moores University.
